Vermentino is light to medium-bodied white wine, with flavor profiles similar to Chenin Blanc, Pinot Grigio, Soave, Verdicchio, Sauvignon Blanc, Albariño, and cool climate Chardonnay.

At home in the Mediterranean, Vermentino makes a lighter white wine with citrus, green apple, and white flower. It has a light to medium body and a medium aroma intensity. Vermentino’s profile can seem similar to many other white wines that are lighter bodied, higher in acid, and unoaked.
Vermentino won’t be as aromatic as Riesling or Sauvignon Blanc, but you may still notice the citrus and floral notes in your Vermentino wine.
