Gabrielle Vivien, Petit Chablis, 2021 - $26 USD (Cool Climate Example)
Medium Lemon, Pronounced Aroma Intensity
Aromas: Green apple, yellow apple, lemon, lemon curd, lime, grapefruit, green pear, white blossom (floral hint), wet limestone
Dry
Medium Alcohol (12.5%)
No tannins
High acid
Medium Body
Pronounced Flavor Intensity - Green apple, yellow apple, lemon, grapefruit, green pear, white flower, wet limestone
Finish - Medium Plus
This is a very good wine. It delivers intensity on the nose and palate with bright, crisp green and citrus fruit, and hints of layered complexity with floral and mineral notes. This Petit Chablis is well-balanced and showcases its classic typicity with high acidity, medium alcohol, and a medium body. A higher quality example would have a longer finish. (I like this wine).
Firebrand Chardonnay 2021 - $10 USD (Warm Climate Example)
Pale Lemon, Medium Aroma Intensity
Aromas: White peach, white nectarine, apricot, ripe pineapple, toast, warm baking spice (evidence of oak), butter
